NTH AWARDS are coming onto the Scene.

NTH has now annouced its plans to hold there very first annual awards cermony due to take place in 2010. "It has always being on the cards to hold our very own awards cermony and we have decided that 2010 will be the year of its launch to mark our 10th Birthday".

2010 is going to be a year to remember for the National Theatre of the Highlands.

Diamond Jubilee Hall Steering Group Announce New Chairman

As you know NTH is involved in trying to save one of our local venues. Save The Dj Campaign was launched on the 20th of August 2008 and has been involved in trying to save our venue from day one. It was announced that NTH very own Chairman and Founder Michael MacLeod is the new chariman of the Diamond Jubilee Hall Steering Group, we would like to wish him all the best, and would also like to thank Doug Suckling for all his hard work since the steering group was formed.

Panto Cd - New 4 2009

For the first time ever NTH are launching a cd story version of our christmas pantomine this is a new tradition in the making, so if you loved our christmas panto or missed it and want a chance to listen to it in the comfort of you own home then watch this space for details....

Evanton Cinderella

This year will be the first year the National Theatre of the Highlands released a cd version of our show with all the gang in the show telling the story of Cinderella just like they did on stage.

CD will be available from NTH.

Evanton Street Lights & Tree

Over the last few months NTH has been working with Kiltearn Community Council to organise the Evanton Street Lights Across the main road of the village. Thanks go to Michael MacLeod, Mark Goodyear and Counciller Michael Finlayson for all there help.

Evanton Story Telling

National Theatre of the Highland were involved in providing techincal service for the Story Telling Fundraiser ran by the Evanton Fundraising Group. Funds raised would go toward the Santa's Grotto in December. It was a fantastic night everyone who attended really enjoyed and came back with lots of memories of a fantastic evening at the Diamond Jubilee Hall, Evanton.

Blitz Awards 2008

This year saw the National Theatre of the Highlands take part for the second year running in technical and for the first time with Blitz performance arts at this years annual Blitz Awards for the Inverness Blitz Academy of American Football. This year saw the standard and quality leap even further than before with a brand new layout, new screen, new mics, new lights, and new actors.

This year was the first time for more action that happened in the arena area outside the main theatre with our very own dj, playing all the latest sounds and keeping the presenters and family and friends on there toes.

This year saw the stage in a complete new light. with moving heads, mirror moving heads, leds, trussing lots more, we even had Captain Jack Sparrow and his crew pay us a little visit and highjacked the theatre untill the Highland Wildcats mascot Rockey came to the rescue on a Harley Davidson.

The National Theatre of the Highlands would like to pay a special thanks to Stephen Leslie from I-Light for all his help in this production. Also NTH would like to thank Keldon Miles from Disco Brothers for the entertainment in the outer arena.

KCC Stearing Group: Diamond Jubilee Hall

The very first meeting took place in Cornerstone at 7pm on the 30th October 2008. The next meeting is planned for the 20th of November 2008. Location is still to be decided.

KCC Public Meeting for DJ Hall

Kiltearn Community Council are going to be holding a public meeting on Wednesday 1st of October 2008 to discuss the future of the Diamond Jubilee Hall. Please come along and raise your views. The National Theatre of the Highlands will be there with our PA System set up to make sure everyone can hear what is being said. As being able to hear the councillers at the Highland Council meeting was a problem.
